Founded in the early 80’s, the SATELEC® - PIERRE ROLLAND® group changed its name into ACTEON® (2003) in order to federate, under a common banner, its history, its brands and the personnel of each respective industrial firm and foreign subsidiary it currently represents.
ACTEON®, a world leader in small equipment and consumables for dentists, has become an internationally-established group.
ACTEON® hires more than 650 employees half of whom work outside France, in six manufacturing sites (Bordeaux, La Ciotat, Milan, Florence, Tuttlingen and Bilbao), in seven subsidiaries and seven representative offices established on the major international dental markets.

ACTEON® PIERRE ROLLAND® offers anaesthetics, therapeutic and cosmetic ranges, impression materials and hygiene products.
Innovations such as Expasyl®, Riskontrol® Perfect and Kite Surf are mainly manufactured in Bordeaux-Mérignac (France) and are distributed equally in France and abroad.
ACTEON® SOPRO®, based in Marseilles-La Ciotat (France), manufactures digital imaging systems for the dental market.
Its R&D Department brings together experts in electronics, optics, signal processing and
programming.
ACTEON® SOPRO® designs a wide range of products including intra-oral cameras, digital radiology systems and imaging software, all classed as amongst the most effective in their respective markets and deliverable in various configurations that can be easily adapted to the requirements of dental surgeries.
Finally, its mastery of fluorescence technology became reality with the recent launch of
SOPROCARE™, an instrument for the early diagnosis of periodontal disease and caries.
