One of the major advantages of the Sopro 717 is that
the distal part is extremely fine. Its design, innovative look and
restraint all mean that it fits perfectly into all working environments
without disrupting the way you are used to doing things. |
 |
|
|
 |
A highly sophisticated optical unit and high quality electronics
which have been developed around a 1/4 CCD mean that the Sopro
717 can offer you exceptional image quality. |
|

|
|
|
Whatever the selected position is, the image becomes clear in a
moment thanks to the very large depth of field the Sopro 717 is offering
you. 3 pre-selections available by clicking: macro (1 to 5 mm), intra-oral
(5 to 30 mm) and extra-oral (30 mm to infinity). |

|
 |
Optimise your images under all circumstances thanks to a lighting
system using 8 new generation LEDs which supply 50% more light than
conventional LEDs. |

When Image meets
color
|
| |
|
|
 |
|
Dentists have to choose colors every single day:
ceraamics, composites or prosthetic teeth. This may appear very
simple but it actually requires the dentist to have scientific knowledge,
a practised eye and he must also stick to a very specific procedure
in order to obtain a satisfactory result.
|
 |
3 key factors to select
the shade
1 The ambient lighting
The incident light must be neither too weak nor too strong (if there
is not enough light, no colour will come out, on the opposite, too
much light will erase the colours) but it must contain all of the
visible waves so that the tooth can correctly reflect a part of the
spectrum.
Artificial lighting: Dental lights, incandescent lamps and neon lights
with a narrow spectrum provide a light which is totally unsuitable
for distinguishing shades (colour T° between 4000 and 5500°
K). The ideal thing being normalised lighting (e.g. Gamain whose colour
T° of 6500° K is close to that of daylight).
Natural lighting: Gives much better results but varies during the
day and depends on the atmospheric conditions. The optimisation of
a shade selection should be carried out in front of a north-facing
window with a slightly cloudy sky and preferably around 11 a.m.
2 The dentist
His own perception, his visual fatigue (he will be less able to make
good choices at the end of the day), his experience (sticking closely
to a procedure optimises the reliability of the choice) must be taken
into consideration.
3 The
surgery environment and patient
The colour of the surrounding walls but also the interfering bright
colours of a scarf, a lipstick, of clothes as well as the appearance
and the state of the teeth which should always be observed in a damp
environment are factors influencing the shade selection. |

|
Sopro, the world leader in dental imaging has
placed its know-how at your service and is now offering the SoproShade
concept. By combining a shade selection function with the Sopro
717 intra-oral camera, we can now offer you a unique product. Now
you can really use your camera to help you make your shade selection.

 |
The
cameras eye
The camera has greater resolving power than the eye in terms
of hue. The eye is able to perceive around 2 million colors
when the camera can perceive around 16 million.
So it is far more easily able to show up any small differences
in colors thus facilitating the elimination process during the
selection of the shade. In the same way, the cameras enlargement
power makes the job a lot easier and allows a better appraisal
of the results obtained. |

Optimised
lighting
Tip: You will be surprised by the ergonomic, innovative design
of the autoclavable tip which is clipped onto the head of the
camera like a mask. Thanks to the mouthpiece with which it is
fitted, it prevents the camera from slipping, making it easier
for you to work and speeding up the shade selection process.
Waveguide: This tip contains a sophisticated waveguide developed
exclusively for this product and which seals you off from the
outside environment and brings the light in so that it is distributed
evenly over the tooth, thus doing away with any highlighting
phenomena. This gives you even light and an environment which
is always exactly the same. |

The
Dentist remains at the heart of the system
Unlike the tools mentioned above, the SoproShade concept does
not in any way replace your own know-how. You are still the
star of the show. You keep the same tools and the same procedure
all SoproShade does is to help you and to make your choice
more reliable. |
|
The
clinical studies
We have carried out studies showing that SoproShade is at least
as accurate as existing systems but that, on the other hand,
it is much easier to use, much quicker and, above all, it is
much less expensive and takes up far less space as it comes
free with the Sopro 717. |

Communication
With your patient: The patient will be able to follow the various
stages and see the reasons behind your selection. You will be
able to discuss this with him opposite the screen showing his
tooth and the chosen shade.
Your patient is involved in the choice and confirms your selection.
With your laboratory: The SoproShade concept is also an excellent
tool for communication with your dental laboratory as it allows
you to send the result of your selection as well as the different
elements necessary for the making of the prosthesis to it directly
on its computer. |

A
4 steps function
|
| |
 |
|
|
|
|
Step 1: Place the camera in the SoproShade
position .
Place the tip of the camera against the vestibular side of the
tooth, so that the latters incisal edge is locked into
the groove on the stabilising part of the camera. |
| |
|
|
|
|
|
Step 2: Once you are satisfied with
the image shown on the screen, you just have to freeze it
by gently pressing the SoproTouch . The left-hand side of
the image is memorised in the cameras docking station.
If this image is not suitable for your purposes, all you have
to do is lightly press the SoproTouch again to take a new
one.
|
| |
|
|
|
|
|
Step 3: Place the camera into the SoproShade
position . Take your colour chart and position the camera so
that you can film the samples whilst sticking to the colour
chart manufacturers recommended procedure. The comparison
needs to be made on the central region of the colour charts
sample 1/3 of the way up the middle of the tooth. |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
Step 4: Once the result obtained is
as close as possible to the tooths natural colour, all
you have to do is lightly press the SoproTouch again to freeze
this image.
